Many of our volunteers come to us through referrals from Job Centre Plus, Domestic Abuse agencies and by word of mouth.

During their time at The River, as well as other equipping for recovery from domestic abuse, we teach customer service, admin skills including telephone, computer and till training. They can also gain industry qualifications through working in our community food club and many go on to gain permanent employment using the skills learned here.
